Every January, our Catholic community joins together with parishes and Catholic Schools across the country to celebrate National Catholic Schools Week. This year Catholic Schools Week will be celebrated between Sunday, January 29 and Saturday, February 4. In our diocese, we have over 2400 students enrolled in 21 Catholic schools. Our 8th - 12th Grade students are invited to spend a week on retreat with the Monks at Little Portion Hermitage Monastery! This week-long retreat offers you a unique opportunity to live at a monastery, getting to know God and each other on a much deeper level. Throughout our stay, we will work alongside the men and women who call Little Portion Home, ending each day with a talk and some adventure. We will visit this year on July 8th - 14th. Registrations are now open for this year's Steubenville Youth Conference. This year our parish is teaming up with several local parishes to attend the Main Campus 2 Conference. The conference will be held June 23rd -25th and is open to student currently in 8th -12th grade. The cost is $375 per student, with scholarships available. We hope you consider joining us. Come join our parish family as we celebrate the Feast of St. John the Beloved, one of our patron saints. On December 27th, we will celebrate a Mass at 5:30 pm at St. John Church, followed by the traditional blessing of wine (bring a bottle or two), and a party for the whole family. On the Feast of diocesan patron St. Augustine, Bishop Paul J. Bradley released his latest pastoral letter, "Behold, I am making all things new": A Pastoral Letter on Priestly Spiritual Renewal and Prayer for Vocations. In his letter, the bishop announces a new diocesan year, beginning on the birthday of Our Blessed Mother, September 8, 2022, and outlines plans for priestly renewal and lay faithful participation.
